NEW! -Out-of-the-box  radio telemetry system!

Westermo are proud to announce the arrival of the new RM105L series telemetry radios. These top quality units can be supplied individually or as a pre-configured set, with antennae and programming lead (for advanced applications!). Getting  those stray, difficult-to-wire-to status’s and measurements has never been easier! Installation for a point to point system takes minutes, literally. Connect the power (9 to 30 VDC),  the supplied antenna, and, of course, the I/O- and you have an instant, high reliability telemetry link to carry two digital status and an analogue (with setpoint) up to a number of kilometres. At  the touch of a button the status LED’s on the receive unit turn into a received signal strength indication- ideal for testing the viability of a link.
The units can be re-configured if required, using the free software, whereby digital status, analogue, supply voltage, pulse count or temperature measurements may be sent over the airways to numerous destinations. The units are fully compatible with the standard RM105 U and Gateway series radios.  Encryption may  be applied as required. Efficient, economical, expandable and robust!

Advanced Licensed or Unlicensed Data Radios

Four new licensed radios are available. Designed and built  with the  usual Westermo/Elpro concern for quality and reliability,  these devices operate in the 450 to 470 MHz bands. They can be set in accordance with license free regulations, or used as higher power licensed radios.
RM455U-A:
The most humble of the new radios, this device is ideal  for use as an “on failure” replacement for existing radio transceivers. It has audio and PTT inputs. The simplicity of the device means that existing V23 , Bell  or other forms of coding can easily be accommodated.
RM455U-B:
This is very similar to the RM455U-A, but incorporating both V23 and Bell 202 modems. This can, therefore, be used to replace modem and radio in existing installations, or, of course, as new node.
RM455U-C:
Designed to be electronically compatible with the RM405 Modem. RS232 and RS485 ports and internal buffering help to make this device as “transparent” as possible.
RM455U-D:
This unit is the most powerful of the range and as such, is a uniquely versatile and flexible device. The unit has two distinctly separate serial ports available, an RS232 and an RS485, which can be routed entirely separately if required. Optimum Path Routing allows for efficient routing of signals through larger networks. Packed full of features, this advanced radio modem also incorporates remote configuration, online diagnostics, and encryption, amongst other security features. A free configuration utility allows for fast and efficient commissioning.

Wireless Ethernet Solutions

The Westermo Elpro range now incorporates the ease of connectivity that Ethernet gives. Our range incorporates the latest technology to give you the best in performance and flexibility. Compliment  these with our comprehensive range of antennae, our promise of guidance and support (if needed),  and you find that industrial communications become a lot less taxing!
Features such as IP addressable serial ports (RS232 and RS485) allow for a stratified upgrade path to be pursued. We also offer the choice between the short range, high data bandwidth 2.4 GHz ( Wi-Lan  or Wi-Fi type radios, 802.11), or  the greater distances and robustness - but lower bandwidth- of the 869MHz license free I.S.M. band. Comprehensive filtering, Military grade encryption, remote configuration, built in diagnostics and support for multiple access points are amongst the many features of these radios.
