Redundant Ring Ethernet Extender

Redundant Ring with Legacy Serial Port
DDW-222
As well as supporting the redundant ring, the DDW-222 provides an RS-232 port to allow legacy equipment to be connected to the ring. The RS232 port can be configured as TCP server, TCP client or UDP, giving totally flexible solutions. The product is supplied with a 10 port serial IP license, how this can be used is described in the application note below.
