Cyber Essentials

Westermo Data Communications Ltd is delighted to announce that it has completed the certification process for Cyber Essentials in the UK.

The Cyber Essentials Scheme is backed by the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) and ensures businesses have in place effective processes and systems to maintain the integrity of their business networks and security of data. According to the NCSC annual report 8,900 new certificates have been awarded in the past year bringing the total to 15,826 since the initiative began in 2014.

The scheme focuses on five essential mitigation strategies to help ensure that networks and data are secure

 - Boundary Firewalls and Internet Gateways
 - Secure Configuration
 - Access Control
 - Malware Protection
 - Patch Management
